What cookies and local storage do

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser. Local storage is another way a website can remember information on your device. This policy covers both.

The website does not include optional analytics or advertising trackers. Its cookie settings component uses local storage only when you save a choice. Enquiry forms also use Cloudflare Turnstile for a security check when you submit them.

Storage used by this website

The website uses these first-party preference records.

  • Name: tenant-help-cookie-preferences.
  • Technology: local storage on your browser/device.
  • Provider: Tenant Help website.
  • Purpose: remember the choices you save in Cookie settings.
  • Contents: notice version, saved date/time and configured category preferences.
  • Preference validity: 180 days from the time you save a choice.
  • Physical storage: until you remove it or a later saved choice replaces it.

It does not contain your enquiry or contact details.

Its purpose is to remember choices you save in Cookie settings. We treat this preference storage as necessary for providing that requested function, so it does not require optional-cookie consent.

The website treats a saved preference as expired after 180 days. Local storage does not automatically remove the record after that period; it remains on your device until replaced by a new saved choice or removed using your browser settings. The website will not rely on an expired preference to enable optional tracking.

Mobile service notice

  • Name: tenant-help-service-notice-minimised.
  • Technology: session storage in your current browser tab.
  • Provider: Tenant Help website.
  • Purpose: remember whether you choose to minimise or reopen the mobile service notice.
  • Contents: a true/false display preference; no enquiry or contact details.
  • Duration: the current tab’s browsing session, normally ending when the tab closes. Browser session restoration may retain it.

This preference is saved only when you operate the notice. It is necessary to remember that requested display choice and is not used for tracking or advertising. If browser storage is unavailable, you can still open and minimise the notice.

Form security checks

Cloudflare Turnstile loads when you submit an enquiry form. It uses browser and connection signals to help prevent automated misuse and supplies a short-lived, single-use verification token. We use it only to protect the requested enquiry service, not for advertising or audience measurement.

Turnstile pre-clearance is disabled, so this integration does not request a persistent cf_clearance cookie. Cloudflare manages the security check within its own widget; its handling of technical information is described in Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy information. Our cookie settings cannot turn off a security check needed to submit a form. You can use our other contact methods if you cannot complete the form check.

Manage your choices

Open Cookie settings in the footer to view the current settings. There are no optional categories to accept or reject while no optional tools are configured.

If optional tools are introduced, the policy and consent controls must be updated before those tools are used. Where consent is required, optional tracking stays off until you accept it. You can reopen Cookie settings to change or withdraw a choice.

You can also remove local storage and cookies through your browser settings. Removing the preference record means the website will no longer remember that choice. Closing the settings panel without saving does not accept optional tracking.

Hosting and external services

Cloudflare provides website and email-forwarding services. Technical connection information is separate from cookies and local storage. If changes to our hosting or security settings introduce additional cookies or storage, we will update this policy and provide any required choices before using them.

Google provides the receiving email service. There is no embedded Gmail widget, Google Analytics or advertising pixel in the current website. Using an email provider does not by itself install that provider’s tracking cookies on visitors’ browsers.

Following an external link, including WhatsApp, takes you to another service with its own privacy and cookie arrangements. Our settings cannot control storage used on those external services.
